The Imperial Council has undergone a drastic but much-needed streamlining by decree of Regent Oren Nillu. The changes have pruned the original and troubled twelve-seat council into six seats, as a result of the inability to fill all of the former positions in a satisfactory manner.
The positions of Tax Assessor, Woodsman, Rivermaster and Quarryman have all merged into the Imperial Resources Office, which will be headed by the Imperial Tradesman, currently held by the Marchioness Sahna Nillu.
His grace the Duke Aiden Zahir will continue his duties as Imperial Spymaster at the helm of the Imperial Intelligence Office.
The Chamberlain position and all its duties have been assimilated into the Office of Palace Management. This Office is usually headed by the Chancellor but until such a time as someone is assigned to it, it shall be guided by his grace, the Regent Nillu.
The Surrector, the Blademaster and the Lightkeeper will hold the remaining seats on the Council. It is hoped that these changes will bring an efficient and competent system to Fastheldian government.
